I struggled this past month in getting a grip on my calorie count as well as my exercise. I got a body bugg during the last week of January and FINALLY I can track my exercise and intake of calories and it makes more sense to me. During the last week that I have been on the "Bug" (I need to give it a name), I have lost 3 pounds. Considering that was my goal I feel very good about it. I am now used to wearing it on my arm and wrist to help me know if I am on target. I didn't realize how much mindless eating that I was doing. Everything...and I mean everything that goes into your mouth is calories in. If you don't counter act that my exercising then you won't have a deficit and you won't lose. I am now seeing a deficit and I love watching the computer graphs show my weight loss. This weeks goal....3 more pounds...I will let you know!

Calories...calories...calories
Calories in....Calories out. I got myself into this. I will get myself out of this. I am amazed when you calculate how many calories it takes to maintain your weight vs. how many calories it takes to lose weight, how much easier it is to put them on then take them off. When I look at a cookie and know that if I eat that I have to get on the treadmill for 45 minutes it doesn't seem to look as good. I have been sizing up what I eat to what it will take to get it off. This has come as a HUGE priority for me and ever consuming. But...the end results will be worth it and then I will just KNOW it and it will be the lifestyle change that I am working for. Stay tuned for the weigh-in on Feb 1st!!!

Happy New Year!!!
I feel rejuvenated for the new year. Time to turn the page again. I am only going to weigh in once a month. I have set small goals monthly. Starting off with 10 pounds for the month of January. Taking them in small increments makes them more attainable. I have started a new eating program that includes more fruits and veggies. I am taking the attitude of my friends brother.....food is only fuel for the body....I have not thought of it that way. Would you put sugar in your gas tank of your car? UMMM I hope not....you would have a huge problem if you did. So I am going to run with it. I am a bit sore but it feels so good. I also am a HUGE fan of only one show. The Biggest Loser tonight has a couple of sisters from Idaho. Although they weigh more than I do I am going to try and compete against them. I will update you weekly with how this is going and on Feb 1st I hope to have lost my 1st ten pounds!!!
